Layton’s First Sponsored Event

Today Layton had his first sponsored charity Event “Splashathon” with the theme of Peppa Pig Beach Party at Water Babies! He absolutely loved it! He had a little cry in the pool when he was getting tired but he’s literally a water baby – he just loves the water! The event was for the charity Tommy’s. Tommy’s is a charity that is very close to Water Babies and the work that Tommy’s do to help raise awareness and change attitudes surrounding miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth, as well as supporting families who have or are suffering as a result of each of these is amazing! Being a mum to my amazing boy, I just couldn’t imagine what these families go through when suffering with these so I think it’s such an amazing charity!

So far Layton has raised £55 online and £15 via his sponsor form! For a 19 week old (20 on Friday) baby, that’s pretty amazing to raise £70!! We’re still running until the 11th August (2017) so if you would like to sponsor Layton, then the link is here: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/LaytonDavidSherriff

Today also was the end of the 10 week Water Babies Course! Layton can swim under water and when pulled under water he’s able to swim himself back up to the top already! He’s a little superstar! I’ve decided to sign Layton up for stage 2 which starts again in September! There’s 17 stages at Water Babies and I’m going to put Layton through them all as it’s an amazing way to get him to learn how to swim early on! It works out quite costly at £155 per stage (10 weeks on each stage) but it is totally worth it!

Thank you to everyone who has sponsored Layton – we really appreciate it! Here’s some pics of his big day!
